NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian says things like community sports and regional travel will potentially be looked at “last minute” once the state begins to open out of lockdown.

“We’ve already started the trial on our quarantine system so we’re confident that 80% double dose we’ll be able to welcome home lots more Aussies than have been able to come home before,” Ms Berejiklian said.

“We are really looking forward to coming home Australians through Sydney Airport once we hit that 80% double dose.

“As for the other matters such as community sport, and regional travel, obviously, they’re issues that will need to be considered potentially up to the last minute.

“Because it will very much depend on what the caseload and virus is doing at that time and when our intensive care situation looks like because to date, we’re feeling very confident that the modelling we’ve relied on has proven pretty accurate.”
