Victorian Deputy Chief Health Officer Deb Friedman has praised multiple “vaccination successes” the state has achieved.
“More than 23 per cent of 12-15 year-olds have now received their first dose since they became eligible only last Monday,” Ms Friedman said.
“We now have 80 per cent of Victorians over the age of 40 having received their first dose of vaccine.
“This week we’ve had more than 400 Moderna doses administered in pharmacies across Victoria.”
She encouraged those aged under 60 to receive their first dose if they have not already.
“This is a really good option for you to start your vaccination journey,” she said.
