Herald Sun journalist Caleb Bond says “for all his faults” the foreign affairs policy coming from US President Joe Biden related to the Indo-Pacific region is “pretty decent”.
The Australian Financial Review is reporting Prime Minister Scott Morrison and President Biden have agreed to lift their economic investment in the region to counter the growing influence of China.
“If we want to position ourselves as a strong power in the Pacific we have to invest to try and counter their investment,” he said.
“For all his faults this is some pretty decent solid foreign affairs policy that we’re getting from Biden at the moment.
“And to have his hand helping in this is a good thing.”
