Health Minister Greg Hunt says there is “approximately 1.2 million to go” until Australia hits the 80 per cent first dose vaccination mark.

“We’re doing over 300,000 a day, that’s a mixture of first and second doses but that gives you a sense of the measure, the scale, the scope of what’s an unprecedented rollout,” Mr Hunt said in a media conference on Thursday.

“Which will see enough vaccines in Australia over the course of October for every Australian to have had two doses, now people will be at different stages.

“But those vaccine supplies are strong and clear and manifesting themselves in two million doses in seven days.”
