Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has demanded an apology from Health Minister Greg Hunt, declaring she has been “attacked relentlessly” by the federal government.
“A few weeks ago, I raised the issue about this being the pandemic of the unvaccinated,” Ms Palaszczuk said during a media conference on Wednesday.
“I raised very clearly that there was an issue and we needed a plan for young children between the ages of five and eleven who weren’t vaccinated.
“Whether that means going to school and wearing masks if we’re in the midst of a pandemic.
“I was loudly criticised from all sections of the media.”
Ms Palaszczuk said she was “attacked relentlessly by the federal government”.
“And today, and yesterday, we hear that Greg Hunt is now speaking with the TGA to run analysis of the trials of five to elevens, which Pfizer has been conducting.
“I just want to say to Queenslanders that I will always protect you and do what I think is right.
“I would like an apology from Greg Hunt.”
