CIS research scholar Scott Prasser says the trouble with royal commission reports is that “they’re just a report”.
“Since the Coalition got into power … we’ve had eight royal commissions been appointed,” he told Sky News host Andrew Bolt.
“So royal commissions are with us almost all the time these days.
“The trouble with royal commission reports is they’re just a report; they’re just a series of recommendations, they don’t have any power.
“I think they’re pretty tricky things, and I think government should be making the decisions, not royal commissions.”
