Deputy Prime Minister Barnaby Joyce says Australia can’t just “hang around and wait” for people who choose not to get vaccinated, pledging his support to open the country up as per the national plan.
“We’ve got an economy, we’ve got to get it going, we’ve got to open the place up,” Mr Joyce told Sky News host Paul Murray.
“People want their freedoms and their liberties back, like they were born with.
“It’s been so divisive, this issue, and we want to move on from it as quickly as possible.
“And we do that by opening the place up, and we open the place up by getting as many people vaccinated as possible.
“You’ve chosen not to get vaccinated, that’s your choice.”
