Adoni Media’s Leisa Goddard says “the barbs from China have only just begun” following the announcement of the AUKUS pact which will see Australia acquire nuclear-powered submarines.

The Age is reporting China has criticised the trilateral military alliance between Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States as an “extremely irresponsible” threat to stability in the Indo-Pacific region.

“The torpedoes or rhetoric are going to start coming in long and loud,” Ms Goddard said.

“We have been copping this now since we dared put out head up and [said] there needs to be an investigation into where COVID came from.

“China has been throwing barbs across and putting attacks on our trade ever since then.”
