Victoria’s lockdown restrictions will be relaxed from Saturday when small outdoor gatherings return as a result of the state hitting a 70 per cent single dose vaccine milestone.

The eased restrictions will allow groups of up to five vaccinated people or two unvaccinated people to have picnics, people to go ten kilometres from their homes, and four hours of exercise.

Premier Daniel Andrews also introduced another reason to be able to leave the home, which is for outdoor social interactions.

The interactions will have to comply with the new guidelines laid out by Mr Andrews.
