New South Wales Premier Gladys Berejiklian says getting vaccinated is not just thinking about yourself – but of the “greater good”.
“We don’t want anyone who hasn’t been vaccinated yet to sit at home,” she said at Wednesday’s media conference.
“Come out, get vaccinated, do your bit for yourself and your family. Remember that people might say well if you’re not vaccinated, that’s on you and you might get sick – well, no.
“Unvaccinated people spread the disease more readily. so if you’re in a venue or somewhere and there’s unvaccinated people you’re more chance of contracting the disease from them because they don’t have that protection.
Ms Berejiklian said urged the unvaccinated to think of their loved ones and their community and do it for the “greater good”.
