Sky News host Chris Kenny says it’s “pretty clear” that some premiers will be using harsh measures to combat COVID-19 for “a long while to come”.

“Gladys Berejiklian announced 1261 new cases, 12 deaths, and a first dose achievement of 80 per cent, and she scrapped a curfew,” Mr Kenny said.

“Daniel Andrews announced 423 cases, two deaths, flagging an imminent 70 per cent first dose achievement, and he locked down Ballarat over four cases.

“We need to live with this disease.”
