Donald Trump’s former chief of staff Mick Mulvaney says President Biden didn’t receive public backlash for deciding to leave Afghanistan but rather because it was just executed poorly.
“He missed that deadline. The deadline we set was in May and I believe that Donald Trump would have met that,” Mr Mulvaney told Sky News Australia.
“I don’t think you saw the public push back on Biden for making the decision to leave, it was the circumstances and the practical aspects of leaving the country.
“He just executed very poorly.”
