NSW Chief Health Officer Dr Kerry Chant says the state has recorded 12 deaths from the virus overnight – including a woman in her 30s.
Dr Chant said seven women and five men had died, two of which had underlying health conditions.
She said the other 11 included two in their 50s, three in their 60s, three in their 70s, two in their 80s, and one was a man in his 90s.
Dr Chant said 10 of the people who had died were unvaccinated, one had received one dose, and the man in his 90s was fully vaccinated.
New South Wales recorded 1,259 cases of COVID-19 to 8pm last night.
