Minister for Defence Peter Dutton says the Morrison government will be investing $65 billion “over the next decade into next-generation air capabilities” with the inclusion of acquiring Long Range Anti-Ship Missiles.
“We’re investing $55 billion into land domain capabilities such as strike weapons, watercraft, helicopters, robotics and autonomous systems,” Mr Dutton said.
“Our naval shipbuilding plan represents the largest regeneration of the navy since the second world war.
“That investment is absolutely essential not only to keep the men and women of the Australian Defence Force safe but to keep our country safe.
“And we will continue to make decisions to support our personnel today and into the future.”
