Harvey Norman has repaid $6 million in JobKeeper payments after it registered record profits after tax during the previous financial year.

Annual profit reporting shows the retailer recorded profits of $743.1 million in the last 12 months, up 63 per cent year-on-year with increases also seen in earnings and sales revenue.

Employees, however, who work in the company’s franchise stores have held onto their JobKeeper payments as they were stood down for much of last year.
