Shadow Home Affairs Minister Kristina Keneally says she is “incredibly concerned” about the NSW hospital system’s ability to cope with the worsening COVID-19 crisis.

Ms Keneally, who is a former Premier of NSW, says she fears the state is heading toward an “unmitigated disaster when it comes to the ability of our hospitals to cope”.

“We’re already hearing it on the ground, horror stories of people waiting hours in ambulances, people who are COVID-positive.

“If our hospital system can’t cope, it’s going to make it much harder for us to open up.”
