Sky News host Peter Gleeson says he has a sense state Labor governments “just don’t like question time”.

The Age is reporting there are calls for greater scrutiny as the Victorian government spends billions on its COVID-19 response during a time when parliamentary sittings are indefinitely suspended.

“I don’t want to harp about the fact that these state Labor governments don’t like scrutiny but the same applies in Queensland,” he said.

“They’re doing about a third of the parliamentary sittings they used to do a decade ago in Queensland and I get a sense they just don’t like question time.”
