The relationship between Prime Minister Scott Morrison and NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian is “tough to read,” according to Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell.
Mr Clennell said the relationship between the Liberal Prime Minister and Premier was often “up and down” but sometimes they “politically need each other”.
On Monday, Mr Morrison addressed reports from journalist Peter Hartcher in the Sydney Morning Herald which said Ms Berejiklian called Mr Morrison ‘evil’ and a ‘bully’.
Mr Morrison said the NSW Premier had made it “very clear” to him in her message that “she’s never used such words” to describe him.
Mr Clennell said it was “frank” and “pretty interesting” the NSW Premier felt “so moved” to send a message to the Prime Minister.
