Of the 92 locally-acquired cases, 61 have been linked to existing cases while the other cases are under investigation.
It is not clear how many new cases were in the community while infectious, but health authorities will be providing more information later today.
This brings the state’s total number of active cases to 778.
Victoria recorded 64 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday, with nearly half infectious in the community.
Speaking to reporters on Saturday, Health Minister Martin Foley called on the Commonwealth to increase Victoria’s vaccine supply.
“High rates of vaccination are the mechanism by which we will get out of this pandemic together with other public health measures,” Mr Foley said.
“We will continue to ask the Commonwealth for supply.”
