Victorian Health Minister Martin Foley says the state has recorded 64 new cases of COVID-19 overnight, with 36 cases in isolation while infectious.

Mr Foley said 49 of the cases were linked to known outbreaks, and 15 were still under investigation.

Mr Foley also said yesterday was a “very strong day” as 55,333 COVID-19 tests were processed across Melbourne, especially in Shepparton, Echuca, and Bendigo.

Mr Foley said 35,753 vaccines were administered at state-run clinics, bringing Victoria’s total to 2.32 million doses.
