The United Kingdom Afghanistan evacuation has entered its final hours and no more people are being processed or allowed into Kabul airport.
Two British adults and a teenage child are now known to have been killed in the terror attack as they were trying to flee the country.
They had been trying to get onto evacuation flights before the last UK troops were set to leave the country.
The evacuation of British nationals and those with the right to travel is set to fall short as Prime Minister Boris Johnson admitted some would be left behind.
“There will sadly be people who haven’t got through, people who might qualify, and what I would say to them is that we will shift heaven and earth to help them get out, we will do whatever we can in the second phase,” Mr Johnson said.
