Victorian COVID-19 Response Commander Jeroen Weimar says the Shepparton cluster “continues to be a very significant outbreak,” with a total of 85 cases linked to the cluster.

“Shepparton continues to be a very significant outbreak with 85 positive cases, that’s an increase of seven on yesterday,” Mr Weimar said.

He said there are over 9000 primary close contacts and “just great testing rates” with 83 per cent of those having returned a negative test result.

“We understand the linkages, it is all part of one single cluster – and, a phenomenal response from the wider Shepparton and Goulburn Valley community.”
