More than a third of eligible Australians are now fully vaccinated against the coronavirus with 57 per cent of adults having received at least one jab after an additional 316,000 vaccines were administered in the past 24 hours.

Tasmania and the Australian Capital Territory are leading the way with just over 40 per cent of their adult population fully vaccinated.

Meanwhile, Queensland and Western Australia continue to lag behind with just over 30 per cent to adults fully vaccinated in both states.
