Premier Gladys Berejiklian confirmed HSC exams would be pushed back to November 9 and face-to-face learning will resume on October 25.
The Premier told her COVID-19 press conference on Friday that everyone who works on a school campus – whether it be a teacher or a staff member – should be vaccinated against coronavirus by November 8.
“Education has already done surveys and a large proportion of teachers are already vaccinated, but we are calling out for anybody to any teacher that is not vaccinated to get vaccinated,” she said.
“We will be supporting them and assisting them by having a special day for teachers on the 6 September and a special week for teachers to make sure that any teachers or staff who will be going back to campus with school children are vaccinated at least before November 8.”
