Former Victorian Liberal Party President Michael Kroger says Prime Minister Scott Morrison has spearheaded a “serious shift in the national mood” as Australians come out in droves to receive the COVID-19 vaccines.
A record 335,420 jabs were administered nationwide with a total of 18 million vaccinations now given across Australia.
“I think there’s been a serious shift in the national mood over the last seven to 14 days and Scott Morrison is leading that change of view and Berejiklian has picked up on it,” Mr Kroger said.
“The rest of the country, people, businesses are saying if the vaccine rates are getting higher and higher once you get to 70 to 80 per cent, why are we still being locked down.
“That’s why Morrison and Berejikilian, to her credit, are tapping into and that is now the prevailing sentiment in this country.”
